It is the social and administrative process by which groups and individuals meet their needs by creating and exchanging goods and services, also has been defined as the art or science to meet the needs of customers and profit at the same time. It is actually a subciencia or area of study of the science of administration.
Customers it is obvious that the goods (or services) are looking better and much faster if they are arranged properly in place, meet some people need, and people will be willing to pay for that satisfaction. Without customers there is no business. Without a product that meets a need no company.
The marketing efforts of a company should focus on meeting the needs of these four groups of people. Only then can say that you have a good marketing strategy.
Marketing Process
- First phase: strategic marketing
Before producing an article or provide a service, management should explore the opportunities offered by the market, ie what are the consumers who want to attend (target market), which would purchase capacity at the time of purchase, the product or service, and whether it meets your needs. In addition, they must also identify what your potential competitors, what products they are offering and what their marketing policy, which are substitutes and complementary products offered in the market, news and odds on the entry of new competitors and potential suppliers . They must also conduct an internal analysis to determine whether the company really has the resources necessary (if you have sufficient and qualified staff, if you have the required capital, etc.).. Finally, we must consider what policy is most appropriate distribution for the product or service reaches the consumer. The strategic process is embodied in the creation of a value proposition, where the company sets its bid optimally, focusing on its target group through a proper process of market segmentation.
- Second phase: marketing mix (of action)
Marketing is the strategy that makes use of human psychology in demand [citation needed], which thus represents a set of rules to bear in mind to grow a business. The key is knowing how, where and when to submit the product or provide the service. Advertising is a very important aspect, but without a marketing plan that would be dull and unattractive to the public, which would mean more expense for the company. Marketing is an essential factor in business and often it depends if the company succeeds or not, so it is an aspect that no employer should forget.
Ideally, marketing becomes a business philosophy in the organization so that all areas (and not just marketing) are aware that they must meet the real needs of customers and consumers. It is the whole company or entity must act in accordance with this principle, from the operator or receptionist, to accountants, secretaries and other employees. Thus, customers will receive the treatment they expect, which also rely on that organization about their products or services.
- Third phase: implementation of the marketing
Finally, it is assigned to the department for the execution of planned actions and laying down the means to carry out, as well as the procedures and techniques to be used. Also be set up mechanisms to evaluate the results of the established plan and determine how effective it was.
- Fourth phase: control
Involved in establishing the mechanisms of feedback and evaluation that can assess the degree of compliance with the objectives and establish the corrections to which they exist. Some controls are:
a)Control of annual plan
b)Control of return
c)Control of efficiency
d)Strategic Control
